Achieving Quality Leads was created in 2004 as a company giving all those who work with us the opportunity of working from home, and the flexibility to balance this with their other responsibilities.
This way of working appeals to those, both men and women, who may have been in middle and upper echelon corporate roles, have taken a break to have a family, but still have a lot to offer professionally. We felt this would give us access to top quality people who would otherwise be lost to the workforce, and we have not been disappointed.
From their home office, our consultants log into our system through their internet browser as they make appointments for our clients. It's all B2B calling. They use a state of the art call management system that records and stores every phone call they make. On average they work 15-20 hours a week during the normal business day. That way they don't burn out and can still do the school run, as they bring in a regular income.
Even though AQL consultants work from home, they aren't isolated. We encourage phone contact between them, they attend training and meetings to put faces to voices, and we get together for lunches throughout the year.
We goal our consultants on arranging quality appointments for our clients, rather than notching up a large quantity of poor 'foot in the door' appointments.
The work is not for everyone, it requires a clear strong voice and excellent use of the English language-verbal and written, business acumen, understanding of the corporate world, and highly tuned listening and questioning skills. They will be speaking with directors of some of the UK's biggest companies, and need to be confident doing that.
We want long-term relationships with our people. Our longest serving consultant has been with us four and a half years.
At a Downing Street ceremony, Achieving Quality Leads received the award from Prime Minster Gordon Brown and Deputy Prime Minister Harriet Harman as the top UK company (with less than 100 employees) for helping mothers return to work.
